  • TA Tradesman: 8th / 10th / ITI passed from a recognized institute.

Territorial Army Selection Process:

Territorial Army recruitment invites applicants under two specific categories of civilian entry and ex-servicemen entry scheme. Furthermore, the selection process of shortlisted candidates will depend upon their category or entry type.

So the selection process followed for the selection of individuals enrolled as civilians candidates are different than that of the ex-servicemen entry selection process. Hence,

TA Civilian Candidate Procedure:

Written Exam: Once the candidates have enrolled or submitted their application form they will have to wait for the release of the admit cards issued for candidates shortlisted for the written exam.

The written exam is conducted only for applicants who have enrolled as civilian candidates for any trade. Regarding the exam, the candidates should be aware of the exam pattern and the syllabus as prescribed by the recruiting board.

Preliminary Interview Board: The interview is conducted by the authorities of the Preliminary Interview Board which is a must qualify round. Only those candidates who are selected will qualify for the following rounds of selection.

Service Selection Board Interview: It is considered to be one of the toughest interviews conducted by Service Selection Board members. The SSB selection round is comprised of various rounds and to complete this round candidate must survive 5 days of regular selection round which consists picture precipitation test, intelligence test, group discussion, conference, and more.

Medical Test: The final test of civilian candidates is going to be the medical test

TA Ex-servicemen Selection Process:

Applicants who have filled their application form should send their form along with their release order and medical board certificate to the address mentioned below.

Participants are then selected for through screening undertaken by an Army HQ Selection Board (ASB) which is held at Addl. Dte Gen. TA GS Branch “L” Block Church Road New Delhi.
